Verification Types
There are four different types of verification panels you can use:
Default Panels:
To verify using a default panel, you just click a button and CyberShield checks if you are on the user blacklist or not, This safety check applies to all panel types.
Captcha Panels:
These panels require you to solve a captcha generated by the bot, it is not case-sensitive, you get 5 attempts at the captcha.
Web Verification Panels:
These panels require you to go to a website generated by CyberShield, and type in a sentence given by the site to verify, this is to prevent bots from verifying.
Hybrid Verification Panels:
These panels contain both web verification and captchas, where the user must pick which one to verify with.
CAPTCHA Verification
If a Verification panel is selected, a user will be prompted with a CAPTCHA to solve, these CAPTCHAs are simple but HARD to read for most OCR and automated bots due to the complex shapes, colors, and different fonts of the image, below is an example of one of our CAPTCHAs
Web Verification
Web Based Verification is likely more secure, and is better for those with dyslexia
If selected the user will be presented with a message with a button, this is a link button and leads to our verification website, with a unique verification token
After they go to this website they'll be gated by Cloudflare Turnstile, a CAPTCHA Alternative that requires no puzzles at all, then they'll be shown a typing challenge they must complete.
You will see in images below screenshots of this website
The site may be sent to Dyslexic mode to change the font and general color scheme to make it easier for those with the condition to get passed it.
Hybrid
Hybrid will simply give the user a choice, if you wish to force one specifically only select on to enable
Below is the small panel given to select the verification method of the user's choice
Verification Logs
The logs will save info on a verification save/failure, it saves the following information:
Method of verification used. (only on verification success)
Time taken for verification. (only on verification success)
Reason of verification failure. (only on verification failure)
User, User ID, and Username.
Account Creation Date.
If on web: The Time it took to verify.
Update Required
If an update comes out to the verification panel your panel will be locked
The only way to fix this is by redoing your panel with the new update, grace periods:
Normal Updates - 14 days
Security Patches - 24 hours
ZD/Crticial Security Patches - 2 minutes
Failure to update will, for your safety, render it useless.
